My artistic passion lays in representational art. I am using the figurative expression as a universal vocabulary. That is to paint what I see with my eyes and with my mind, reproduction of the outward with recourse to the inward. I am working with acrylic on canvas as a versatile medium. My focus on interiors, objects and people in life situations adds a narrative element in my artwork. The settings convey a sense of place, time and atmosphere, allowing viewers to connect with depicted moments on a personal level. Objects and environments in my compositions may carry symbolic meaning. The play of light and shadow in my artwork seves as a powerful element of  visual impact. The balance between precision and looseness is a fascinating aspect in the process of painting. While precision and exactness make a good drawing, the looseness and tightness in values and edges represent the personal touch of an authentic creative act of an artist. It’s about discernment, ability of being selective and last but not least about feeling and creative expression.

That is my path. I continue to learn, investigate and practice. I’m a slow painter. My studio is the place where I feel the most comfortable to work and to make meaningful connections to myself. I make the work that I truly deeply care about.

I wish my paintings envision a world which recalls people to be more aware, reflective and conserved.

My paintings are executed with the best materials (acrylic on canvas) and concern for archival quality.

I have graduated from The Academy of Arts in Bucharest, Romania (2002). Ever since I live and work in Switzerland.
